HECP is proposing a regional communication space/home electronics cafe project for those who are over 90 years old, and who would like a second life after retirement, doing actual work. By providing safe food and appropriate prices and service standards, we attract cultured and high-quality customers. Additionally, as the menu does not require advanced skills, and has only home-cooked style meals, we are realizing a reasonable operation that even one person could run. Currently, using art and renovation on old and abandoned houses scattered around the KADAMO region, we are developing a relaxed and motivating environment which prioritizes a community with regional loyalty and openness. We are also planning on adding several types of work-sharing into this "small workplace". Moving from "being supported" to "providing support" -- the innovations that come from this drastic change are not only their own motivation, nor just the achievement of a fulfilling life. The services and community style that encompass them bring a reformation that creates new, universal values and connections, using the bond between people that comes from an emphasis on free markets.

 

ブライアン・コーワンは「コーヒーの社交」のなかで、イギリス初のコーヒーハウスは1650年にオックスフォードに開らかれ、18世紀のはじめにはロンドンだけでも3000軒のコーヒーハウスがあったという。パリのコーヒー・ハウスは、新進気鋭の芸術家のたまり場として機能し、そこからパブロ・ピカソやモディリアーニといった、今に知られる芸術家たちを生み出していきました。また、イギリスのコーヒー・ハウスは「ペニー大学」と呼ばれ、１ペニー硬貨１枚で気軽にコーヒーを飲み、新聞や雑誌を読める場所として、大いに繁盛したそうです。

ビジネスや異業種交流の場としても、コーヒー・ハウスは利用され、さまざまな政治結社がこの建物の中から生まれています。実際、フランス革命の原動力になったのは、コーヒー・ハウスで身分を問わず交流した市民たちであると言われています。科学者も、この「ハウス」を自分のアイデアを披露する場として利用したりする者も現れました。現在、日本においてもコミュ二ティーカフェをはじめ、サイエンスカフェや哲学カフェ、アートのワークショップなどのユニークなカフェが全国各地に存在しています。


では、現在において日本の各地で展開されているコミュ二ティーカフェとホームエレクトロニクスカフェ・プログラム（HECP)はどう違うのでしょうか？まず、第一にはHECPの活動の目的が社会変革にあるということです。それは、既存の行政や統治のシステムのいわゆる”打倒”ではなく、日本社会に蔓延する「完全神話」の払拭による、不完全・不細工・不揃いを許容するパレラルなもうひとつの市場社会の創造にあります。第二にはその核になる個人のLIFE意識の変革です。まず、「人権」、そして「障害感」、最後に「私的領域とパブリック」の問題です。そして、第三には個々のピースは小さくても、その視点や戦略がドメスティックに留まらず、ピースバイピースに全世界を領域とした活動を目指していることです。日本国内の既存の政治やマスコミメディアを“いちいち”通すことないレファレンダムな活動は、国連などの様々なヒューマンライツの活動との連携も視野に入れたビッグピクチャーとして、日本のプレゼンスを世界に示していきます。

HECP (H. E. C. P. ) is organized mainly by the aged and the disabled. The activity of HECP is aiming at revivify of the exhausted districts in the world by means of collaboration between the technology of electric home appliance and the technology of environment which Japan are boast of in the world. First of all please observe our shop. We are sure that you will be attracted. HECP is proposing the way of promoting enterprise with the low expenditure or noexpenditure. HECP will not require any cost for registration, support and explanation of the starting enterprise.HECP will carry out our function of incubation of starting enterprise of the aged and disabled by the free program. HECP is also aiming at the co-creation of “amateur market” or the market scheme of voluntary economy which supports the aged and the disabled who have desire and conception, even though they become older, and can feel delightfulness.As the successful example of employment policy it is called hundreds or thousands scale, but HECP is aiming at realization of millions scale of starting enterprises and employments. HECP will carry out the function of realizing Japan model of revival of cities which will solve the problems of the aging and the environment in the developed society comprehensively. HECP will also show our Japanese presence of the function as another national strategy throughout the world.
